Real Name: Eddie Brock (joined with a symbiote known as Venom)
Occupation: Adventurer, former photgrapher
Abilities: Symbiote allows for increased healing abilities, strength, speed, agility, and reflexes. Since the symbiote was once bonded to Spider-Man, Venom can create organic webbing and climb flat surfaces like Spider-Man, and is also immune to his Spider-Sense. Venom also has extremely sharp teeth and claws, and uses these to eat people. The symbiote is weak to fire and sonic soundwaves.

Profile: During the Secret War event, Spider-Man activated a machine, hoping to fix his torn costume, and it produced a black goo that formed a new costume for him. It was later discovered that this was an alien symbiote that feeds off of emotions and will eventually kill him. Getting rid of the suit, it chose to join with Eddy Brock, whose career had been ruined by Peter Parker. They joined to form Venom, and became one of Spider-Man's most dangerous foes. The symbiote has since been merged with other humans, but Brock remains one of the most memorable.
